How to Avoid Wedding Stress
- Always expect stress:Be ready and have your self a checklist from the big details down to the very small details that will be needed on the wedding day.Like from the wedding gown, reception, diamonds on wedding ring, cakes, cars, photographer, giveaways and other details.
- Don’t expect perfection: Do not expect that your wedding will be perfect because you spend more or you have a lot of people assign to the wedding preparation or you have paid the highest wedding planner on town. Always realize that sometimes the flub-ups are the most enjoyable things to reminisce about.
- Be happy and contented with what you can afford. Focus on what you do have instead of what you don’t.
- Don’t try to please everyone because everyone has a vision of what a wedding they think is best. Be polite, but don’t see it as your job to make everybody happy or to smooth over every conflict.
- Don’t neglect your spouse-to-be: It is very easy to get so wrapped up in the preparations for the wedding that time spent with your future spouse gets neglected. Continue to date and talk about the future.
- Stay healthy: Don’t neglect yourself. Eat properly. Go walking with your spouse to be and have time for conversation.
- Deal with time pressures:Spreading out deadlines, instead of clumping them together, can greatly reduce stress.
- Pamper yourself: Listen to music, sit in the park, get a massage, take a bubble bath or whatever way you like to be pampered.
- Laugh: If you haven’t learned it yet, learn to laugh at yourself. Don’t take the wedding day too seriously, it is an important day, but only one day of your life.
